Review of the poem “Mai Dalli Mai Dala Angon Kandala” by ALA

The poem “Mai Dalli Mai Dala Angon Kangala” is a poem that stands out as Nigeria stands in the midst of a climate of revolutionary warfare that has stifled the country's development and the comfort of its people where problems including insecurity as a result of attacks by Boko Haram terrorist in the east, kidnapping and arm robberies, bribery and corruptions which was the grassroots cause of all the fore mention problems due to its presence in the community that has finally verves to the point where rumors of the masses that politicians are lying over their property are starting to become obvious. Because a move has been reached by competent government officials at different levels of the government, they have resorted to this kind of hiring process which puts a lot of pressure on the current government to see what action it will take. The present government who took it for granted was too proud to control corruption in the country with the threat of punishments and turning of blind eyes to anyone found guilty of committing the crime promising that all stakeholders in her journey are safe and patriotic. However, the entire nation is skeptical of some of the most prominent members of the government, which has put the question mark on their background or allegations of corruptions, capitalisms and criminal mischiefs. It was on this trip that it was just near the start of the 2019 general election campaign that a video of the governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was released, showing the governor receiving some money allegedly for corruption according to the person responsible for leaking the video who was a journalist in the country. The released of this video was the cause for the song, “Mai Dalli Mai Dala Angon Kandala” by Nigerian-born musician, Aminu Ladan Abubakar (ALA) who hailed from the governor's state.
